Republican scientific-theoretical conference on the topic “Ganja in the history of Azerbaijani literature” was held

The Ganja City Executive Power, the Ganja Branch of ANAS and its Institute of Humanitarian Studies held a republican scientific-theoretical conference on the topic “Ganja in the history of Azerbaijani literature”.

Scientists and researchers from scientific-research and higher education institutions of the country participated in the conference.

Before the event, an exhibition consisting of scientific publications of the Ganja Branch of ANAS was viewed.

The conference began with the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for the integrity of the Motherland.

In his opening speech, the Deputy for Scientific Affairs of the Ganja Branch of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Alimukhtar Mukhtarov welcomed the participants and guests of the conference. He emphasized that the republican scientific-theoretical conference included dozens of reports in 7 sections, which testified to the authoritative nature of this scientific event, and wished success in its work.

Head of the Literature Department of the Institute of Humanitarian Studies of the Ganja Branch of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Ruziyya Guliyeva also provided information about the history of the literary world of Ganja, as well as the thematic directions of today's conference sections.

Then there was a plenary session of the republican conference.

Deputy Chairman for Scientific Affairs of the Ganja Branch of ANAS, Doctor of Philology Alimukhtar Mukhtarov presented “The Spell of Nizami Ganjavi in ​​Azerbaijani Literature”, Doctor of Philology and Science from the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS, Professor Imamverdi Hamidov “Arabic Poems of the Ganja Poet”, Doctor of Philology and Science Almaz Ulvi Binnetova “Some Notes on the Theoretical Foundations of Sahib Ibrahimli’s “Artistic Features of Ashiq Alasgar’s Poems”, Doctor of Philology and Science, Associate Professor Shukufa Valiyeva “Ideological Features of Khazangul Huseynova’s Poetics”, Doctor of Philology and Science from Ganja State University Aynur Novruzova spoke on the topics “The formation of children's literature in the Ganja literary environment and the influence of Nizami's “Khamsa” on the formation of the ideological and artistic system”.

Also at the plenary session, the guests of the conference were Gulshan Kangarli, an employee of the A. Bakikhanov Institute of History of ANAS, associate professors Afag Yusifli, Nazmiya Akhundova, Saba Namazova from Ganja State University, teacher Vusal Isgandarov, teacher of Azerbaijani language and literature of secondary school No. 16 of Shirvan city, PhD in Philology Shahla Majidova, and writers from Ganja, chairman of the Ganja Branch of the Azerbaijani Youth Union, Khazangul Huseynova, Sahib Ibrahimli, and Alamzar Alizade, conveyed their heartfelt words.

In the next stage of the conference, 32 more reports were heard in 7 sections: “The Azerbaijani Renaissance of the 11th-12th centuries and the literary and cultural environment of Ganja”, “The roads leading to the Ganja Renaissance”, “Women poets who lived and created during the Mahsati period and the poets from Ganja whose names were mentioned in “Nuzhatul-mejalis”, “The Nizami stage of world literature”, “The formation and development of enlightenment in Ganja in the 19th century”, “The literary and cultural environment of Ganja in the 20th century and the years of independence” and “The place of Ganja in the history of statehood and culture of Azerbaijan”.

At the end, a booklet with the conference materials was presented to the participants.

After the conference, its guests visited the mausoleum of our great thinker Nizami Ganjavi, as well as other historical and sightseeing places in Ganja.
