A republican conference on the topic "Azerbaijan and world literary studies: problems and prospects" was held at Baku Eurasian University. The conference featured reports and speeches by renowned scholars Tehran Elisanoglu, Tahira Mammad, Afzaladdin Askerov, Seyfaddin Rzasoy, Saadat Shikhiyeva, Aygun Bagirli and others. The conference was of particular importance in terms of drawing attention to a number of issues of Azerbaijani literary studies. It was also very important that a special section of the conference was dedicated to the memory of our valuable literary scholars, doctors of philological sciences Nazakat Mammadli, Parvaneh Bekir gizi and Irada Musayeva, who passed away. The speakers spoke about the work of all three literary scholars and commemorated their memory.
