Literary institutes of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan have launched a joint project
During the visit of ANAS President Academician Isa Habibbeyli to Kyrgyzstan, a discussion was held at the Chingiz Aitmatov Institute of Literature of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Kyrgyzstan on the volume “Chingiz Aitmatov and Azerbaijan” of the “Chingiz Aitmatov Encyclopedia”.
It should be noted that the volume “Chingiz Aitmatov and Azerbaijan” is being prepared jointly by the Literary institutes of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.
The discussion was attended by the President of ANAS Academician Isa Habibbeyli, the Deputy Director of the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Mehman Hasanli, and the Director of the Chingiz Aitmatov Institute of Literature of the Kyrgyz National Academy of Sciences, Academician Abdyldajan Akmataliyev, the coordinator of the project, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Nurzina Isayeva, and the institute’s employees.
The meeting discussed and approved the glossary of the said volume of the encyclopedia. The authors of the articles from Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan were determined.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli said that the volume “Chingiz Aitmatov and Azerbaijan” primarily expresses the attitude towards the legacy of the great son of the Turkic world, Chingiz Aitmatov. At the same time, it is important as a highly visible indicator of the joint activities of the National Academies of Sciences and Literary Institutes of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan.
In his speech, Academician Abdyldajan Akmataliyev, Director of the Chingiz Aitmatov Literary Institute of the Kyrgyz National Academy of Sciences, spoke about the importance of the joint discussion of the volume “Chingiz Aitmatov and Azerbaijan” here, in Bishkek. It was decided to publish the volume of the encyclopedia in Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz languages in 2026.
The meeting also included the Azerbaijani coordinator of the project, Ph.D., Assoc. Mehman Hasanli, the coordinator from Kyrgyzstan, PhD in Philology, Assoc. Prof. Nurzina Isayeva, as well as PhD in Philology Aynura Kadyrmammedova and Raziye Syrdbayeva spoke.
