In 2025, the highest scientific organization in the country, the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, will celebrate its 80th anniversary.
Since its establishment, the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan has followed a path of remarkable achievements and has gained recognition as a center that has transformed the scientific and intellectual potential of the republic into a national treasure. The academy’s fruitful activities over the years have been based on the principles of studying priority scientific issues in line with the demands of the time, training highly qualified specialists in various scientific fields, establishing scientific schools, and expanding cooperation with prestigious international scientific institutions. Today, the academy continues to actively contribute to the successful implementation of state policy in the field of science. Through social and humanitarian research, it plays a role in introducing society to new knowledge and enhancing its scientific and cultural development.
Guided by paragraph 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and considering the role of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan in the development of science in the country, the organization of activities in this field, and the training of highly qualified personnel, I hereby decree:
1.The National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, shall prepare and implement a plan of events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
2.The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall address the issues arising from this Decree.
