Conditions of the competition:

The motives and plots of the stories must reflect the atrocities, crimes, deportations and ethnic cleansing committed by Armenian vandals against our compatriots in Western Azerbaijan, and the memories of the homeland and homeland that remain in their memories, as well as the heroism they showed in the fight against Armenian nationalists. The life stories of witnesses and historical figures who were born in Western Azerbaijan, lived there and had constant contact there can also be the plots of the stories.
The deadline for submitting stories to the West Azerbaijan Community is August 15, 2025.
Age limit for participating in the competition: Writers over 18 years old can participate in the competition
The submitted story must not have been published in any press outlet before.
Stories must meet the following criteria:
Must be in Azerbaijani and in "Word" format;
Must be in A4 format, Arial 12 font;
Blank space - 2 cm on each side;
Line spacing - 1.15 cm;
Paragraph - 1.25 cm;
The information of the story author must be listed sequentially at the end of the file:
Surname, first name, patronymic;
Date of birth;
Contact number and e-mail address,
Stories must be sent by e-mail to hekaye@westaz.org under the title "Manifest of a Nation".

The stories submitted during the competition will be published on the “Literature Newspaper” and “Modern.az” websites by the end of 2025 after being selected by the jury.

The winning stories of the competition will be translated into English after the competition ends and will be published as a book in the future.

The works submitted to the competition will be reviewed by a jury of renowned experts after August 15, 2025, and the results will be presented to the organizers. The final results will be announced to the public on December 23-24, 2025.

Competition prizes: As a result of the competition, the authors of 10 stories will be declared the winners of the competition and will be awarded with money.

First place, awarded to 1 person - 2000 AZN
Second place, awarded to 2 people, each author - 1500 AZN
⁠Third place, awarded to 3 people, each author - 1000 AZN
⁠Incentive prize, awarded to 4 people, each author - 500 AZN
