A meeting was held in Siyazan on the topic of "School, science and literature" in order to increase the interest of the younger generation in literature, science and education, and to promote the culture of reading books.
Before the event, which was initiated by the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, the Siyazan District Executive Power and the Guba-Khachmaz Regional Education Department, the participants got acquainted with an exhibition of paintings.
The event was attended by Academician Isa Habibbeyli, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Professor Anar Iskenderov, Chairman of the Science and Education Committee of the Milli Majlis, Doctor of Philology, MP Elnara Akimova, children's literature writer Zahid Khalil, Head of the Siyazan District Executive Power Novruz Novruzov, Head of the Guba-Khachmaz Regional Education Department Joshgun Aliyev and others, who spoke about the achievements in the field of literary criticism and the development of literature in Azerbaijan, as well as the tasks of intellectuals in the development of science, education and artistic creativity in the regions. It was noted that the integration of science and education, the popularization of science are among the main requirements of the modern era in the globalized world. There is a constant need to carry out serious reforms in order to accelerate the development of scientific personnel potential and increase the interest of young people in science, and to provide the necessary information needs for their integration.
At the meeting attended by school principals, teachers, cultural workers, writers and students, schoolchildren demonstrated scenes prepared from the stories of children's literature writers.
Scholars donated books to the library, and participants were awarded honorary certificates by the Siyazan District Executive Power.
