Academician Isa Habibbeyli spoke at the event of the Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature

President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, spoke at the event held by the Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature.

The meeting, which took place via the “Zoom” platform, was attended by the Deputy Director of the Institute of Georgian Literature, Doctor of Philology, Professor Maka Elbakidze, and the Head of the Institute’s Center for Russian Studies, Doctor of Philology, Ivane Amirkhanashvili, and others.

Academician Isa Habibbeyli said that the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS has been closely cooperating with the Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature for many years and implementing joint projects. He noted that the results of joint research conducted by employees of scientific institutions on Nizami Ganjavi and Shota Rustaveli in 2017-2020 were reflected in the monograph “Nizami Ganjavi and Shota Rustaveli”, and the book in question was published in 2021 in Baku and Tbilisi in Azerbaijani, Georgian and English.

Academician Isa Habibbeyli also voiced his proposals on the existing cooperation between the parties and projects that can be implemented in the future.

Deputy Director of the Institute of Georgian Literature, Doctor of Philology, Professor Maka Elbakidze, Head of the Institute's Center for Russian Studies, Doctor of Philology, Ivane Amirkhanashvili and others spoke in their speeches about the cooperation between the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS and the Institute of Georgian Literature named after Shota Rustaveli. Georgian scientists, who stated that high scientific results have been achieved in this cooperation, shared their views on joint projects.

During the meeting, a wide exchange of views was held on issues of mutual interest.
