ANAS held a meeting dedicated to electronic services

The Academy hosted a meeting focused on upcoming responsibilities in the sphere of electronic services, chaired by Academician Isa Habibbeyli, ANAS President.

During his introductory speech, ANAS President Academician Isa Habibbayli noted that the Academy had made significant progress in organising ANAS's activities to a level that can rival global science and achieve its integration into the global scientific community in a short amount of time.

The issues of technical support and electronic document circulation in the field of electronic services in the Academy have been addressed by Academician Isa Habibbeyli, who also touched on the development of electronic resources, the evaluation of scientific indicators in ANAS, and the reference indicators of our scientists in international scientific bases. The chief of ANAS stated that important progress has been made in building staff profiles in the elmmetric databases and emphasised the significance of increasing efforts in this area. According to him, three scientific journals that are among the graded publications of the TR Index have already been included to the DergiPark database of the National Academic Network and Information Centre of TÜBİTAK..

The issue of preparation for the conference on "Artificial intelligence and digital development: current realities and vision of the future" to be held at ANAS was also discussed at the event.

ANAS head said that it is planned to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Aviation Academy for mutual cooperation in this direction.

Academician Isa Habibbeyli emphasized that issues such as expanding international cooperation opportunities, working on specific projects with partners, making artificial intelligence and digital development a priority, learning the mechanisms of applying artificial intelligence to humanities and social sciences, and modernizing robot technology are also in the focus of ANAS.

Then, during the meeting, the activities of the "Electronic Academy" department of the ANAS Presidium in the field of robotic technologies and the upcoming tasks were discussed.

During the function, Fariz Imranov, a Ph.D. in mathematics, who oversees the "Electronic Academy" department, gave a report on the achievements and activities of the department. The previous period's pertinent recommendations were noted, along with the creation and development of scientific profiles and the dissemination of their scientific indicators, in order to gather scientific results at a contemporary level and publish them in esteemed journals utilising emmetric bases.

The "Humanoid SUFI" (Word Processing with Universal Functionality) robot, created by the "Electronic Academy" department, was showcased during the event. Anar Nabiyev, a department employee who created the "Humanoid SUFI" robot, gave a lecture and discussed the capabilities and management system of the robot.

The robot correctly pronounces letters, words, and sentences in Azerbaijani. He also pointed out that he can categorise interest in topics, prepare pertinent reports, and take appropriate action during communication. Other abilities include mapping the space using radar and cameras, analysing potential obstacles, and recognising people based on their facial expressions, age, and gender.

At the meeting, Director of the Institute of Archeology, Ethnography and Anthropology of ANAS, PhD in History, Associate Professor Farhad Guliyev, Director of the Central Scientific Library of ANAS, PhD in Technology, Associate Professor Huseyn Huseynov, Director of the Department of Foreign Relations and Work with International Scientific Organizations of the Administration of ANAS, PhD in Biology, associate professor Esmira Alirzayeva, Deputy Director of the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature, Ph.D. in Philology, associate professor Mehman Hasanov and others spoke about the importance of creating individual profiles of scientists and specialists in international scientific databases, and training to expand their opportunities for digitization and active use of electronic services. they talked about the importance of organizing.

Attendees included department leaders of the Praesidium, scientists, and experts in the field of electronic services employed by ANAS's scientific institutes and organisations.
