Doctor of Philology, Doc. Eshgane Babayeva will give a lecture on "M.A. Ersoy phenomenon in the context of Azerbaijan-Turkey literary relations" to doctoral students on April 25, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. The key themes of Turkish independence poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy's work as well as his literary character will be discussed in this talk. We will focus on the role of the poet in Turkish poetry and in Turkish literature in general. The poetry of M.A. Ersoy will be contrasted with poets from Azerbaijan. Along with Huseyn Javid, Bakhtiyar Vahabzade, Shahriyar, Mehmet Akif and Ahmet Javad, and others. There will be comparisons between the works of Azerbaijani poets, and important issues will be raised.
