ANAS Nizami GanjaviI Institute of Literature held a scientific session "Academic Kemal Talibzade: the founder of the school of literary criticism" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Kemal Talibzadeh.
ANAS President Academician Isa Habibbeyli opened the scientific session and spoke on the formation of the Academy and the Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi.
Literary critic and scientist Kamal Talibzadeh said that his services are invaluable. He noted that Academician Kemal Talibzadeh was a great public figure who made significant contributions to Azerbaijani science and the history of public opinion, enriched our science with his valuable works, and rendered great services in the development of new generations. He noted that Academician Kamal Talibzadeh, the founder of the school of literary criticism in the history of Azerbaijani literary studies, created a perfect chronicle and a complete scientific picture of the 20th century Azerbaijani literary criticism and also deeply explored the roots of our history of criticism.
According to the head of ANAS, Kamal Talibzadeh always carefully followed the literary and critical processes of his time and wrote valuable scientific works about writers who were his contemporaries. Academician Isa Habibbayli stressed that the critic scientist greatly supports the development of young people, is interested in their activities, and closely participates in the training of graduate students.Isa Habibbeyli, who highly appreciates academician Kemal Talibzade's services in the fields of Azerbaijani literary history, literary criticism and literary theory, evaluated the scholar's book "20th Century Azerbaijan Criticism", which was published in 1966, as the most valuable, fundamental historical work of criticism written in this field so far. He emphasized that academician Kamal Talibzade's dissertation on artistic features of romantic poetry in Azerbaijan at the beginning of the 20th century, in addition to presenting the outstanding representative of the art of literature in the person of Abbas Sahhat, along with all aspects was a research work that revealed his lyricism, uniqueness, artistic features for the first time. The President of ANAS noted that the first monograph about Academician Kamal Talibzadeh was published by the Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi.
At the end of his speech, Academician Isa Habibbayli emphasized that he always remembers his great teacher, Academician Kemal Talibzadeh with respect, that he treats his legacy with special attention and care, and that his anniversaries are regularly celebrated. At the scientific session dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the outstanding scientist, the head of ANAS said that the followers of Kamal Talibzadeh will look at various aspects of his work, and he pointed out that Ulker Talibzadeh, the daughter of the literary critic, PhD in Art Studies, has successfully followed her father's path. - the architect of our history of criticism" and spoke about the support of Kemal Talibzadeh in his development as a critic. Dr. Mutaz Mohi Abdulhamid, chairman of the Iraq-Azerbaijan Friendship Center, also participated in the session and emphasized the victories of our country in recent years. He presented a commemorative gift to academician Isa Habibbayli, the president of ANAS. At the same time, an employee of the Institute, professor Imamverdi Hamidov, presented a certificate.
