On October 3, the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS was held. Academician Isa Habibbayli, ANAS President opened the Scientific Council and familiarized the participants with the issues on the agenda. It was adopted by daily vote.
At the event, Academician Isa Habibbayli said that he applied for the dismissal of Aida Feizullayeva, an employee of the institute, Doctor of Philology sciences, due to her health. He pointed out that Aida Feyzullayeva, who deals with solving the most difficult and serious problems of the Institute of Literature has a special place and role in the development of the institute, as well as the science of literary studies. Academician Isa Habibbeyli said that Aida Feyzullayeva, a prominent scientist was appointed as a scientific advisor of the Department of World Literature and Comparative Studies of the institute on public grounds.
At the meeting of the Scientific Council, an employee of the institute, PhD in Philology, associate professor Gulchin Babayeva was awarded with an honorary decree on the occasion of her 70th anniversary.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli, as well as Chairman of the Union of Azerbaijan Lovers, Doctor of Philology Maharram Gasimlini, Senior Researcher of the Institute's Department of Literary Theory, Doctor of Philology Javanshir Yusiflini and Leading Researcher of the Department of 20th Century Azerbaijani Literature (Soviet Era), Doctor of Philology Yadigar Mehdiyeva 65 congratulated them on their anniversary and wished them success in their tireless activities.
Academician Isa Habibbayli, who said that we are living the most glorious and proud days of our history, said that our Victory War, which replaced our last two hundred years of tragedy and defeat with joy and victory, has ended. Later, a number of scientific and organizational issues were discussed at the event. The first issue was related to the joint research project between the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS and the Literary Research Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences on the topic "Satire and humor in literature: from folklore to written literature" and the approval of the working group by Azerbaijan.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli recalled that he visited Bulgaria on July 4 this year at the invitation of the president of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and pointed out that a cooperation agreement was signed between the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and ANAS within the framework of the visit. He said that one of the provisions of that agreement was the development of joint scientific projects. At the meeting, the members of the Azerbaijan working group of the scientific research project "Satire and humor in literature: from folklore to written literature" were approved.
Then the issue of celebrating the 90th anniversary of the birth of People's Poet Mammad Araz was considered. On October 11, it was decided to hold a jubilee session of the eminent poet at ANAS with the joint organization of the Department of Humanities and the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi. At the event, decisions were also made regarding the organization of a scientific session on "Literary issues in the activities of the Azerbaijan Research and Development Society" and the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mehmet Akif Ersoy.
The issue of determining the speakers of the "Literary Process - 2023" Creative meeting was also discussed at the meeting of the scientific council. The head of the department of literary criticism, doctor of philological sciences Vagif Yusifli informed about this.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli noted that the process of renewal in all directions has been going on in the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences recently, he said that the "Electronic Academy" Department was created in the structure of the Presidium and the network of electronic services in research institutes was expanded in recent months. At the meeting, it was decided to change the name of the "Scientific information and translation" department of the Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi to "Electronic services".
Later, Ph.D., Assoc. Gunay Garayeva delivered a speech regarding the approval of the academic supervisors and topics of those admitted to doctoral studies and dissertation studies for 2023.

Senior researcher of Salida Sharifova's monograph "First Azerbaijan Novels", Department of Press History and Journalism, Ph.D. Gulnar Gasimli's book "Our word is a word - 2" and the leading researcher of the Department of Children's Literature, Gulnar Gambarova's monograph "Organization of Azerbaijani children's literature" has recommend for publication.
