The Academic Council of the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences held the semi-annual report for 2023. Members of the council, Academician Teymur Karimli and others attended the meeting. An exhibition of publications from the first half of the year was shown.
Scientific secretary, PhD in Philology, associate professor Aygün Bagırli of Institute of Literature presented the scientific report for the first semester of 2023. She informed on the work done by the institute in accordance with the decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the works assigned to scientific institutions in connection with the implementation of state programs.
She drew attention to the events held in the first half of the year in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 29, 2022 on declaring 2023 as the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" in the Republic of Azerbaijan. In total, 49 books and monographs, 524 articles of which 46 were published abroad were published. In the reporting year, 3 people received the title of doctor of science, 7 people received the title of PhD, and 4 people received the scientific title of associate professor in the direction of the training of scientific personnel.
At the Scientific Council, ANAS President, Academician Isa Habibbayli presented to PhD in Philology, associate professor Safura Guliyeva the Honorary Decree on the occasion of her 80th anniversary.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli expressed his views on the issues of "Regarding changes in the Scientific Council of the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature" and "Holding of the 90th anniversary of literary scholar Shamil Salmanov" in the daily newspaper. The issues put to the vote were accepted.
Academician Teymur Karimli spoke as a representative of the Social Department at the Scientific Council and praised the work done by the Institute of Literature in the reporting semester. Among the employees of the institute, corresponding member of the Academy Nushaba Arasli, Professors Vugar Ahmad, Imamverdi Hamidov and Tahira Mammad also appreciated the work done in his speech.
