ANAS employees of the Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi has visited the II Honorary Alley.
In 2022, the 10th and 20th years have passed since the date of death of the Academician Bekir Nabiyev and the correspondent member of ANAS Yashar Garayev. On this occasion, under the leadership of Academician Isa Habibbeyli, ANAS Vice President of , General Director of the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature, the employees of the Institute of Literature visited their graves.
During the visit, Academician Isa Habibbayli spoke and said that we have made a decision to celebrate the jubilee anniversaries of the death of our outstanding scientists. We want to visit the graves of our three eminent scientists. The graves of two of them, Yashar Garayev and Bekir Nabiyev, are in the Second Alley of Honor. Our respect for them is an example for new generations. They are great scholars who have contributed to the development of both our institute and the science of literary studies. Today, the addresses of Yashar Garayev and Bekir Nabiyev have been determined, but we cannot come here and visit our other scientists in this cemetery. We have a debt to them, we keep their tradition alive and continue their ways. Azerbaijan is one of the rare countries that has reserved such a place for prominent figures. A remarkable aspect of this place is that the grave of our martyrs and the National Hero of Azerbaijan, Polad Hashimov.
Today is also the day Zangila was released. With the iron fist of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Army liberated the city of Zangilan from the occupation of the Armenian armed forces today. Mr. President and First Vice-President of our country Mehriban Aliyeva has been in Jabrayil and Zangilanda for two days. Today, we are celebrating the liberation of Zangila from the occupation, with the opening of the Zangila airport and the commissioning of the smart village, a great work that has been carried out for two years.
Academician Isa Habibbayli added that Bekir Nabiyev was our great scientist. He has great services in the development of the science of literature. He is a man who has a deep knowledge of literature and rises to the academic level. Doctors of philological sciences of the Institute of Literature, professors Gazanfar Pashayev and Imamverdi Hamidov also shared their memories of Bekir Nabiyev and talked about his scientific activity.
At the same time, they emphasized that Yashar Garayev is one of the rare personalities in literary studies. Doctor of Philology, Professor Shirindil Alyshanli and PhD in Philology Farida Hijran also touched on certain points from the unforgettable memory of Yashar Garayev.
