Although the communist regime of the Soviet era, the political and geographical borders between the two brotherly states - Azerbaijan and Turkey - hindered the movement, close communication, literary, cultural, socio-economic relations, it did not completely break the spiritual bridges. These spiritual ties were preserved thanks to the longing and love of individual intellectuals, writers, poets and poets.
The attempt and desire of the Soviet Empire to separate us from our national values, spiritual and historical roots, trying to break all the ties that bound the two brotherly nations, forbade the expression of not only these relations, but even the Turkish word itself. Hundreds of people were accused of being "pan-Turkist" and "pan-Islamist" victims of repression and deported as "traitors". Literary, cultural and political relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan have been cold for more than 30 years and about 40 years.
