A meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Literature was held in a hybrid format dedicated to the results of 2021. The meeting was attended by members of the council, heads of various departments of the Institute, academician Rafael Huseynov, chairman of the Caucasus Media Public Union Sahila Mirza. The scientific council was opened by the vice-president of ANAS, director general of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, academician Isa Habibbayli.
At the scientific council, the chairman of the Caucasus Media Public Union Sahila Mirza presented the "Nizami Ganjavi" medal to Zahra Allahverdiyeva, a leading researcher of the Department of Nizami Studies, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor.
At the same time, head of the Department of World Literature and Comparative Studies, Doctor of Philology, Professor Gular Abdullabeyova and a leading researcher of the Department of Oral Folk Literature and Literary Monuments of Azerbaijan, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, Associate Professor Svetlana Mammadova were awarded the Honorary Decree of the institute.
Speaking as a representative of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Academician Rafael Huseynov praised the work done by the Institute of Literature in the reporting year. Employees of the institute Gazanfar Pashayev, Elnara Garagozova, masters Lala Seyidzade also spoke.
Scientific Secretary, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Aygun Bagirli presented detailed information on the work done during the year, especially in connection with the "Year of Nizami Ganjavi" and the 200th anniversary of Ashig Alasgar. He said that, during the year, the staff of the Institute conducted research on two areas, 8 problems, 20 topics and 140 works, 64 works were completed. The total number of publications of the Institute's employees during the year was 1330.
The annual scientific report of the Institute's activities on international relations for 2021 was presented to Mrs. Zairova, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology. Samir Sattarov, Head of the Education Department, PhD in Sociology has informed on the approval of the annual attestation of doctoral students and dissertators for the preparation of doctoral sciences and philosophies of the Institute and other issues.
Academician Isa Habibbayli and Doctor of Philology Alizadeh Askerli spoke on the preparation of the "Encyclopedia of Literary Studies" and the upcoming issues.
