ANAS Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi and Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology held the VII "Physics and Lyrics" conference on "Nizami Ganjavi's heritage and nature".
At the event the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan has organized an exhibition dedicated to Nizami Ganjavi's works.
Opening the event, ANAS Vice-President, Director of the Institute of Literature, Academician Isa Habibbayli noted on a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev deted on January 5, to declare 2021 on helding "Nizami Ganjavi Year" in our country. and in addition at the Department of Social Sciences. ANAS Vice-President noted that, the publications of "Nizami Ganjavi Year" had a wide geography and noted that the articles of Azerbaijani scientists dedicated to the great poet were published in Turkey, CIS and other countries.
I.Habibbeyli said that, the conference was one of the measures implemented with the support of the leadership of ANAS in the implementation of the Order on "Nizami Ganjavi Year". He expressed confidence that the first conference on "Nizami Ganjavi's heritage and nature" will be a great contribution to Nizami studies, emphasizing that the event will encourage joint cooperation and research in a new direction related to Nizami's work.
ANAS Vice-President, Director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Academician Irada Huseynova expressed satisfaction with the holding of the conference on "Nizami Ganjavi's heritage and nature".
Recalling the words of academic national leader Heydar Aliyev "Nizami Ganjavi is such a great person, such a genius that his anniversaries should be celebrated not only every ten years, but every five years, every year. He noted that it is one of the eternal examples in the history of mankind.
Then, academician I.Habibbeyli presented Nizami Ganjavi's poem "Khosrov and Shirin" to academician I.Huseynova on behalf of the institute.
Maryam Gafarzadeh, head of the department of the Ministry of Culture, stressed that N. Ganjavi, a prominent representative of world literature, genius poet and thinker, philosopher, is a symbol of value for Azerbaijan, a symbol of our rich culture and a mirror of our people's commitment to universal ideas. He said that Ganjavi, as a great humanist poet, has always glorified human dignity.
"Nizami Ganjavi's permanence is also that he looked at the ecological crisis in modern times as if forecasting from his time, pointing to the solution of problems," Gafarzadeh said. . According to him, in almost all his works, Ganjavi called on people to love nature and take care of it. He noted that the theme of wildlife protection is reflected in Nizami's poems "Seven beauties", "Khosrov and Shirin", "Leyli and Majnun" and others.
