ANAS Institute of Literature held a meeting with Yusif Hushk, President of the Pakistan Academy. First, there was an acquaintance with the Pakistan Literary Center which is operating at the Institute of Literature.
ANAS Vice-President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Director of ANAS Institute of Literature, Academician Isa Habibbeyli spoke in detail on the development of relations at the meeting.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli, after giving chronic information on the literary history of Azerbaijan, also gave promotional information about the activities and departments of the Institute of Literature. He spoke about the genres that arose in Azerbaijan for the first time in the East and in the Turko-Muslim world.
He added that "we cooperate with the whole world. We even intend to sign a peace treaty with Armenia after our victory in the 44-day war. Nevertheless, two countries are of special importance for Azerbaijan, Turkey and Pakistan. During all the years of Azerbaijan's independence, Pakistan recognized the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in all international organizations. Pakistan has not allowed Armenia to open an embassy in its country. We are grateful for that. Turkey and Pakistan helped us the most during the 44-day Patriotic War. Today, AR President announced a great return to Karabakh. Karabakh is being rebuilt, and Turkey and Pakistan are closely involved in this process. A strong political connection creates a convenient opportunity for cooperation in other areas. We are interested in developing relations in the field of science. Even today, solid foundations of scientific relations are established. We have created a Pakistan Literature Center on the eighth floor. For that center, we need a book on the history of Pakistani literature, we are thinking of organizing a course to learn Urdu language.
Academician Isa Habibbayli gave information on several other publications and presented them to the guests. At the same time, Professor Yusif Hushka presented the "Honorary Friend" diploma of the Institute of Literature.
At the meeting, the President of Pakistan Academy of Literature, Professor Yusif Husk, presented a slide has prepared by him on activity and history of the Academy represented by him and gave extensive information on the work done. His wife, an expert in Urdu language and literature, Sophia Husk also spoke and said they were pleased with the reception.
