Academician Mammad Jafar Jafarov's "Fictional Works" has been published. The compiler and author of the foreword is Academician Isa Habibbayli, the editor is Professor Tahira Mammad.

"In the book, for the first time, the artistic works of the outstanding scientist, academician Mammad Jafar Jafarov in various genres are presented to the readers" (from his annotation).

        In the prose works, memoirs, dramatic works, skits, poetry and journalism sections of the collection: 10 stories, 9 miniatures under the title "Molla Nasreddin" corner (humorous miniatures), 4 novellas, 2 short stories, a memoir called "Memories", 2 dramatic works, " 10 skits, 5 poems, 1 poem and 4 journalistic examples were given under the title "The Conversation of Bahlul and Nasreddin".

 Talking about the scientific creativity of Mammad Jafar Jafarov, I. Habibbayli characterized the thinker as a literary historian, theorist and critic. He emphasized that Mammad Jafar Jafarov was recognized as a "philosopher-critic" and "Belinsky of Azerbaijani literary studies" in the scientific and literary environment.

M.C. Jafarov is the founder of the scientific school of literary theory in Azerbaijan. Mammad Jafar developed the theory of Azerbaijani and Eastern romanticism and mastered the development of romanticism theorists. In 1962, his monograph "Huseyn Javid and romanticism in Azerbaijani literature" was dedicated to the scientific and theoretical principles of romanticism aesthetics. The problem was studied together with the aesthetics and poetics of national romanticism. The typology and historical destiny of Azerbaijani romanticism has found a deep theoretical solution. The monograph "Romanticism in Azerbaijani literature" established Mammad Jafar Jafarov as an outstanding literary theorist.

From 1953 to 1981, M.C. Jafarov worked at the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, he headed the Department of Literary Theory for a long time and trained theoretical scientists. M.C. Jafarov was the master and teacher of Azerbaijani literary theoreticians.

I. Habibbeyli assessed that "many serious research works, monographic studies dedicated to the issues of romanticism and realism, tradition and modernity, poetry and drama theory problems, artistic method and style issues in the direction of literary theory in Azerbaijani science were published by the Department of Literary Theory, M.J. Jafarov appeared as an achievement of the era".

Jafarov defined the artistic and aesthetic principles of Azerbaijani romanticism with his works "Our Attitude to Classical Romanticism Traditions", "Romance in Life and Literature", "Artistic Features of Javid's Creativity", "Who Will Forget You". I. Habibbeyli summarized that "academician Mammad Jafar Jafarov is the founder of Azerbaijani romanticism as a scientist who first interpreted romanticism... in a theoretical manner" (Y.
