On July 15, the international conference on "Azerbaijan-Pakistan scientific-literary relations" launched by tANAS Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature.

ANAS Vice-President, Director of the Institute of Literature, Academician Isa Habibbayli opened the event and noted that the conference, which is devoted to the 30th anniversary of Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations was co-organized with Lahore State College University. On this occasion, Academician reminded that, a delegation of 11 members from Pakistan arrived and that certain measures had already been taken. He noted that yesterday the Pakistani delegation met with the acting ANAS President, Academician Arif Hashimov and commemorative photos were taken in front of Nizami Ganjavi's monument, got acquainted with the building of ANAS Presidium and visited the Azerbaijan National History Museum.
He said that the first visit of the delegation of Lahore State College University to our country and the Academy will create new conditions for the implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed between the institutions. Speaking about the development of Azerbaijan-Pakistan friendly and brotherly relations, Academician Isa Habibbeyli spoke about the history and present day of scientific relations. During the conference, the Pakistan corner will be opened in the Central Scientific Library of ANAS, the "Selected Works" of Muhammad Iqbal, the special issue of the "World Literature" magazine of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union dedicated to Pakistani literature will be presented, visits to the Guba Genocide Memorial Complex and a number of museums will be organized. said that it will be done.
At the opening ceremony of the conference, Muazzam Ali, Deputy Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Professor Saima Iram, Head of the Urdu Language Department of Lahore State College University, and Almaz Khanum, Associate Professor of the same Department spoke on the importance of the event.
Then, the Executive Director of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of ANAS, Doctor of History, former ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Eynulla Madatli, head of the Department of Arabic Studies and Islamic Studies of Lahore State College University, Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Nayem, Head of the Department of Azerbaijan-Asian Literary Relations of the Institute of Literature, Doctor of Philology, Professor Badirkhan Ahmadov and Associate Professor of the Persian Language Department of Lahore State College University, Dr. Babar Naseem Assi delivered papers devoted to the conference.
