ANAS Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi has organized a scientific session on "Art and modern period of Mirza Alakbar Sabir" dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the famous Azerbaijani poet Mirza Alakbar Sabir, organized by the Department of Humanities and its affiliated enterprises.
Opening the session, ANAS Vice-President, Director of the Institute of Literature, Academician Isa Habibbayli said that along with the institution he headed, the Institute of Linguistics, Institute of Architecture and Art, as well as President of the International Academy of Turkic World Studies, Academician Hayrettin Ivgin and Uzbekistan. scientists are involved.
Academician Isa Habibbayli noted that, the head of the Department of Press History and Journalism of the Institute of Literature, Professor Vugar Ahmad was elected a full member of the International Academy of Turkic World Studies last month and will be awarded a diploma at today's event.
Then, Hayrettin Ivgin awarded Professor Vugar Ahmed with a diploma of full membership of the International Academy of Turkic World Studies.
He also noted that he would provide necessary support for the promotion of Mirza Alakbar Sabir's work in Turkey.
In his speech, Vugar Ahmed expressed his gratitude for the high value placed on him.
Speaking on the topic of the conference, academician Isa Habibbayli said that the 160th anniversary of Sabir's birth is celebrated in our country by the relevant order of the President: “Sabir has established a school of satirical poetry. He wrote about 40 laments, about 20 of which reached us. A total of 12 ghazals are known. In fact, he wrote little satire before Molla Nasreddin.
