The years when there are no personalities whose lives and biographies can become the memory of the nation express the void in the memory of time. In this sense, Anar creativity is a fact of historical-national self-awareness, not an episode of the civilization of national thought, but an event. If we look at it from the side of history and cognition - from far or near, we will see a life that has participated in the progress movement of more than half a century standing in front of us.

These thoughts were included in the article "Peak of life" presented by Elnara Akimova, doctor of philological sciences, head of department at the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS, on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the People's writer Anar. We present the article.

Anar is my childhood memory, a part of it. He is one of the writers who are at the foundation of my literary taste and view of literature. "Sizsiz" was the most read work in our house. Among the books that my father arranged neatly, there was also the book "The World is a Window", which he often picked up and dusted with his breath. But I loved Anar's prose with "Ağ liman". In general, two or three works reflecting the atmosphere of that time have not lost their charm since the day I read them: "People and trees" (A. Aylisli), "Ağ liman" (Anar), "Baladadash's first love" (Elchin)... These works are like the purest, most unadulterated moments of your life. When you read them, you get lost from the arithmetic of good and evil, light and dark, and reach a metaphysical peace.

This is a fact. The 60s were the period leading to the independence of our literature. The task of bringing back to the memory of the people who had been away from their historical memory for a long time, the issue of idea-artistic understanding and necessity of this important mission in the national consciousness formed the main problematic of the artistic prose of the 60s. Anar's prose joined this process as an exponent of a new thought, stood at the epicenter of the direction of the undistorted indoctrination of historical memory, the restoration of the information transferred to the gene memory of the people from the national position.

Each arrival has a mission. It seems to me that Anar, who had a great mission to restore the historical memory that was lost in the 60s, managed to turn it into an action of all his creativity. When I was working on my candidate's dissertation, Anar's 1985 study "The World of Grandpa Gorgud" came into my hands. In the years before the end of the Soviet era, Anar points out that the ancient monument belongs to the Azerbaijani people from the point of view of origin, language, and territory in "Dade Gorgud's World", and the Oghuz of the Dade Gorgud era have ancient roots, settled in their lands since ancient times, and were selected for their spiritual and moral values. brought the issues to attention. For some reason, when I read The Hotel Room, written in 1995, a decade and a half ago, I remembered this study. Through retrospection in the person of the main character - Karim, the writer often returned to the past and appealed to memory: "Along with the memory of taste and smell, separate scenes, landscapes, and faces of his childhood came alive in his dreams one by one. came out, but this water was not cold or cool like the water of the springs on the road, it was warm, with its heat, its composition was healing... now the names of these places - as if someone whispered in his ear one by one - sounded in his memory: Oil Spring, Golden Rock, Kechili Mountain, "Pari Chingili, Aygir Rock, Shish Rock, Stone Yurt, Kotan Rock, Eyvazli Mountain, Novlu Spring. Now all these places were in the hands of Armenians."

Anar's other works - the treatise "The Right to Live", the collection of essays "Night Thoughts", "White Ram, Black Ram", "Eye Bead" etc. His works are illustrations of history, national memory and our past. No matter what you say, for the writer, addiction, attachment and familiarity with the historical layer were many things. A.V. Mikhaylov has an idea that I like very much: "Our level of knowledge about culture is the meaning of "history". There is a direct connection between the concept of history in Anar's works - attachment to memory and the stability of criteria and the stability of our spiritual and moral values. It was destroyed in the Soviet era, when vulgar sociological psychology dominated, nor did it leave its ruins in the 90s, when total political stress, social crisis, chaos and degradation engulfed the life of the country. serves, starts the search for a new philosophy from the national morality itself, chooses it as a landmark, turns it into a criterion.

Yes, a great epoch also passes through Anar's prose. In the last 60 years of our social and national-cultural life, there is the Anar factor. Either his works spoke, or his subtle humor, or his pain, or his silence. But in all cases, he did not allow the symmetry between his "I" and aesthetic phenomena to be broken.

It is possible to overcome the erosion of spirituality and tradition with the essence of memory in Anar's creativity.

85 years old is a great opportunity to look back on history and time. Congratulations!
