This article is about one of the works, or rather, one of the authors who created such works, which is considered a classic of its time, whose name is associated with the literature of its time, which is considered as a symbol of its era when viewed today, and most importantly "revered as history".
Salam Gadirzade was a writer with a happy destiny. Just as not everyone has the talent of writing, not everyone who picks up a book has the talent of reading. There is even an opinion among writers that a good reader is rarer than a good writer. S. Gadirzade was not only blind in this aspect throughout his creativity, but on the contrary, every new work was enthusiastically received and immediately bought by his fans. Book lovers were waiting for new works from the writer. S. Gadirzade's readers were tasteful, creative, modern, people living with spiritual values and holding them in high regard. The power of real literature lies in this - reader-author solidarity and sympathy. Writer-playwright Salam Gadirzadeh, who published 35 books during his 41 years of activity (1946-1987), was born on April 10, 1923 in Baku in a simple, hardworking family. The year when Young Salam finished school, the war began. The paths connecting childhood and youth are separated and he leaves for the voluntary front. In 1941-45, he participated in the liberation of many European countries, as well as Germany, from fascists as a communicator-fighter. He was awarded an order and 12 medals for his bravery. The bloody apocalypse he went through from the beginning to the end, his frontline memories, live observations, hunger, poverty brought by the war, what he saw and heard were reflected in his 1963 narrative "Man Lived Here". In other words, how much raw material - stories, incidents - are needed for the formation of a little bit of literature, which the front-line soldier Salam had collected for 4 years. This topic occupied the writer for a long time, he carried it inside for years and transferred it to paper when his pen matured. The main "image" here is war. As another front-line writer put it, "the smell of burning human body, no matter how long you live, you can never completely leave your nose".
