Pakistan scientists visited the tomb of Nizami Ganjavi

An international conference on "Azerbaijan-Pakistan scientific-literary relations" was held at the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences jointly with a large team of scientists from the Lahore State University of Pakistan. Within the framework of the conference, a visit to Ganja, our ancient and historical city was organized by a delegation of scientists who came to Azerbaijan from Pakistan. The purpose of the trip was to show the guests the ancient and rich culture and history of Azerbaijan and to visit the mausoleum complex of the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi.

The trip began with a visit to the magnificent mausoleum of the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi, which is built over his grave. According to the instructions of the chairman of the Ganja Branch of ANAS, Academician Fuad Aliyev, the head of the Department of Affairs, Academician Rasim Taghiyev, well-known legal scholar, professor Khalil Yusifli, researcher of Nizami Ganjavi heritage, PhD in Philology, associate professor Alimukhtar Mukhtarov welcomed the guests.

Professor Khalil Yusifli gave detailed information to the Pakistani guests about the rich artistic heritage of Nizami Ganjavi and his national identity in the magnificent mausoleum erected over the poet's grave. Later, the graves of the great poet's father Yusif and mother Raisa and the museum of Nizami Ganjavi were visited. Director of the Nizami Ganjavi mausoleum-complex Gulnara Ismayilova, Hava Huseynova, Laman Nematova gave extensive and comprehensive information on  Nizami Ganjavi's creativity and the exhibits stored in the museum.

As part of the visit, the area where civilians were killed as a result of a rocket attack by the Armenian armed forces during the 44-day Patriotic War was visited.

Later, visiting the Shah Abbas Mosque, Javad Khan Tomb, and Ganja Philharmonic located in the center of Ganja, the guests got the chance to get rich information about the city and its history.

The visit to Ganja, home of the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi made a great impression on the conference participants.

It should be noted that ANAS Vice-President, Director of the Institute of Literature  after Nizami Ganjavi. According to Academician Isa Habibbeyli's order, the visit was led by the Executive Director of the Institute, Ph.D. in Philology, Associate Professor Mehman Hasanli and the General Manager of the Institute, Rashad Gasimov.
