Science is a place that unites representatives of different nations, and it is this place that has brought together Georgian and Azerbaijani scientists.
These words were said by Professor Irma Ratiani, Director of the Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature, in her speech at the event dedicated to the Academy's Science Day.
Irma Ratiani congratulated the Azerbaijani scientific community on the occasion of Science Day. Emphasizing that the institution she heads has been cooperating with the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS for more than 10 years, Professor Irma Ratiani provided detailed information about the “Shota Rustaveli and Nizami Ganjavi” project. She noted that the first part of the project has already been completed, and the book, which is the result of the research conducted, has been published by the Cambridge Scholars Publishing publishing house in both Georgian and English.
The director of the institute, who said that the second part of the project is interdisciplinary, will involve not only literary scholars, but also art historians, musicologists and added that scientists representing other fields participated, and expressed his gratitude to academician Isa Habibbeyli for his cooperation. Noting the establishment of the Digital Literature Center at the Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature, the professor invited scientists of the ANAS Institute of Literature to cooperate in this area as well.
After the speech, the President of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbeyli, presented the ANAS Certificate of Appreciation to the Director of the Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature, Professor Irma Ratiani, and Professor Maka Elbakidze.
