On January 16, ANAS Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi held lecture for the masters. Professor Asif Rustamli's lecture on "Repression and Literature" continued with discussions reflecting the new and different views of the youth on historical events. Azerbaijan's hardships and pains during the 70-year grip of the Soviet regime were not few. The bloody traces of repression in our literature extend from Baku to Solovki - the "icy hell". The chronological framework covers a 70-year period from the moment Firidun bey Kocharli was shot (June 5, 1920) to the day Khalil Rza Uluturk was imprisoned in Lefertovo prison (January 26, 1990).
The young researchers' questions addressed to Professor Asif Rustamli reflected their commitment to their chosen field of science, their hopes for the future of our homeland and their heartbeats.
