Lecture weeks for doctoral students and dissertation candidates continue at the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature. Starting from January, on the fourth day of every week at 15:00, lectures for doctoral students and dissertation candidates will be held by the professors and academic staff of our Institute.
On 09.01.2025, a lecture by Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Mehman Hasanli on the topic “Chingiz Aytmatov Phenomenon in the Turkic World” was listened to. First, the Head of the Education Department, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Gunay Garayeva, welcomed the participants and, noting the necessity of a scientific environment in improving the educational system in doctoral studies at ANAS, raising the level of education, and training new researchers, recommended active participation in the lectures organized every week.
Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Mehman Hasanli also spoke in detail about the reforms carried out by the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli in the field of education, the work done to improve the level of education, and noted the importance of doctoral and dissertation students having relations not only with the scientific supervisor, but also with the scientific environment, and the reports organized for this purpose.
Mehman Hasanli's report analyzed the place and position of the world-famous Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov in the 20th century, the creative features that made the writer phenomenal, based on the examples given and the parallel comparisons made. In the context of Ch. Aitmatov's work, repression, the reflection of the world war in Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz prose, the writer's literary and cultural relations with Azerbaijan, etc. were discussed.

On 16.01.2025, a lecture by Doctor of Philology, Professor Tahira Mammad on the topic "Literary Trends in the East-West Literary Context" will be held. The participation of doctoral and dissertation students is important!
