At the international scientific conference, which is an indicator of Azerbaijan‘s growing influence in the world About 50 reports were delivered

As we reported, on December 16, an international scientific conference on the topic "Literature of Asian Peoples: Traditions and Modern Trends" organized by the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS began its work.

The official opening ceremony of the conference held at the Central Scientific Library was attended by the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, President of the Association of Asian Academies and Societies, Professor Ahmad Nuri Yurdusev, President of the Pakistan Academy of Literature, Professor Najeeba Arif, Acting Director of the Institute of Literary Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Professor Lu Yusong, Associate Professor of Hanoi University, Vietnam, Nguyen Van Chien, Head of the Department of Literary Studies of Fergana State University, Uzbekistan, Professor Manzura Jurayeva and others.

Then the international event continued its work with the sections “Literature of the Turkic Peoples”, “Comparative Literary Studies”, “Literature of the Peoples of East Asia” and “Literature of the Peoples of South Asia”.

A total of about 50 reports dedicated to the problems and stages of the literature of the peoples of Asia and the creativity of their personalities were heard at the section meetings.

The first session of the section entitled "Literature of the Turkic Peoples" was attended by Deputy Director of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS, Associate Professor Mehman Hasanli, Head of the Department of Literary Studies of Fergana State University of Uzbekistan, Professor Manzura Jurayeva, Scientific Secretary of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS, Associate Professor Aygun Bagirli, Senior Researcher of the Institute of Uzbek Language, Literature and Folklore of the National Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Dr. Gulnaz Sattarova, Associate Professor Tohfa Talibova from the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS, Dinara Ashimova and Nurjamal Kospaganbetova from the Abay Kazakh National Pedagogical University of Kazakhstan, Zhanakul Sametova and Aisulu Alzhanova from the Abay Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Muqabil Mammadov from the A.A. Bakikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology of ANAS, Gunay Novruzova from the Ziya Bunyadov Institute of Oriental Studies of ANAS, Seyidnisa Latifli from the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS, Sanura Samedova and Chingiz Aytmatov from Baku State University, and Almas Naymanbayev from the Abay Kazakh National Pedagogical University and delivered papers devoted the conference.

At the meeting of the II section entitled “Comparative Literary Studies”, reports were heard on the topic by Eynulla Madatli, Deputy Director of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of ANAS, Prof. Dr. Ömer Solak from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Turkey, Assoc. Prof. Javida Mammadova from the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS, Tuba Has from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University and Ümmügülsum Irmak from Kocaeli University, Dilara Aliyeva from the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS, Sevinj Nuriyeva from the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Ziya Bunyadov of ANAS, BSU doctoral student Ilaha Safarzadeh, Head of the Department of Asian Studies of the University of Latvia Kaspars Klavins, Ilaha Ahmadova from Baku State University and Ilaha Gurbanova from Azerbaijan University of Technology.

At the III section meeting entitled "Literature of the Peoples of East Asia", Gulnar Yunusova from the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS, Narmin Jahangirova from the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS, Turan Karimli from the Azerbaijan University of Languages, Nargiz Karimova from the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS, Leyla Hasanzadeh from the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS, Lamiya Nasirova from the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS, Subhan Mammadov from the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS and Leyla Ramazanova from the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS delivered speeches on the topics.

The IV section of the international conference was dedicated to the literature of the peoples of South Asia. In this section, Nguyen Van Chien from Hanoi University of Vietnam, Huang Xiangyi from the Institute of Literary Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Mubariz Aghalarli from the Institute of History and Ethnography named after A.A. Bakikhanov of ANAS, Basira Azizaliyeva from the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS, Salida Sharifova from the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS, Noushad M. K from the Jamia Millia Islamia Central University of India, Konul Isgandharova from the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS, Leyla Primova from the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS, Sevda Mammadova from the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS and Mushfig Chobanov from the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS delivered thev presentations on the topic.

Then, the international conference has finished its work. Speaking at the closing ceremony, Academician Teymur Karimli, Deputy Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Department of Humanities of ANAS, noted that the participation of representatives of leading scientific and educational centers of many Asian nations in the event was commendable, and noted that the reports at the section meetings covered a wide range of topics. He noted that for the first time in many years, holding such a prestigious event on the literature of Asian countries in Baku is an indicator of Azerbaijan's growing influence in the world, as well as the attitude of Asian nations towards our state. Academician Teymur Karimli concluded the event by saying that the historic international conference will contribute to the development of literary and cultural relations between Asian nations in the coming years.
