The book “A Look at Literature and a Look at the History of Translation” (Collection of Articles) by Ofelya Naghiyeva-Ismayilova, a senior researcher at the Department of World Literature and Comparative Studies of the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature has been published. The book was published by the decision No. 6 of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Literature dated December 5, 2023.
The scientific editor of the book is the President of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbeyli. The author and reviewer of the foreword is Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Guler Abdullabayova, and the other reviewer is Doctor of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Lyudmila Samedova.
In the 296-page book, the author looks at the history of translations from Russian into Azerbaijani, examines their variety of variants, some of their strengths and weaknesses, and analyzes the translator's creative searches within the system of ideas and images of the original.
