A new book by literary critic, Doctor of Philology and Member of the Milli Majlis Elnara Akimova entitled “Azerbaijani Children's Literature: Historical Experience and Modern Directions” has been published.
The scientific editor and author of the foreword to the book, published by the “Science and Education” publishing house, is the President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, and the reviewers are Azer Turan, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, Editor-in-Chief of the “Literature Newspaper”, and Aygun Bagirli, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology.
The book summarizes the historical experience of Azerbaijani children's literature in the context of contemporary humanitarian thought - its formation, emergence and development. In the texts systematized in the sections titled “Children's Literature: From History to Modernity”, “Classics in the Modern Light”, “Children's Texts as Discourse”, “Emotions of War and Victory in Children's Literature”, “The State of Textbooks: Problems, Concerns”, “Interviews: Analytical Level”, “Discussion Hour: Conversations, Thoughts”, “Signatures in Children's Literature”, an assessment is made of the modern directions of children's literature, the poetics, style and genre richness of various examples of children's literature are involved in theoretical analysis, and the new frontiers reached by children's literature after our Victory Day become a subject of research.
