The deputy director for scientific affairs of the Institute of Literature of ANAS named after Nizami Ganjavi, PhD in Philology, docent Mehman Hasanli has been elected an honorary academician of the International Aitmatov Academy.
This decision was made at a meeting of the Presidium of the International Aitmatov Academy on August 15, 2024. The President of the Academy, Academician Abdıldacan Akmataliyev presented the honorary award to Mehman Hasanli.
It should be noted that PhD in Philology, docent Mehman Hasanli defended his PhD thesis on Chingiz Aitmatov in 2017. He was invited to international scientific conferences held in various countries of the world and delivered reports. His articles have been published in both local and international journals. The author’s monograph “Chingiz Aitmatov Phenomenon and Azerbaijan” was published in Azerbaijan in 2020 and in Türkiye in 2023.
