Baku held the "III Turkish World Literature and Book Festival" from May 24–31. Eight days of the event were dedicated to the involvement of prominent people in Turkish science, literature, and culture. The "Molla Panah Vagif" medal was given to Lutviyya Asgarzade, a scholar at the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature, by the TURKSOY International Organisation of Turkish Culture in recognition of her services to Turkish culture and the arts.
