The book "19th-20th century South Azerbaijani poets" (Anthology) was given by Gandab Hagverdi Aliyeva, an associate professor and chief researcher at the Nizami Janjavi Institute of Literature with a PhD in philology. It was published by the "Science and Education" publishing company. The Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences' Scientific Council of the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature made a recommendation for the anthology's publishing on January 15, 2024.
Gandab Hagverdi Aliyeva wrote the preface, while Professor Maharram Gasimli, a doctorate in philological sciences, served as the scientific editor. The 496-page Anthology contains poetry samples by 100 South Azerbaijani folk poets, along with details about their lives and works, which were presented in a systematic manner for the first time to a readership in the north. By introducing the folk poets who are particularly significant to South Azerbaijan's literary and folklore environment, readers were also made aware of their folk art and folklore and their remarkable contribution to the advancement of literature and culture.
