The Scientific Council of the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS convened for its next meeting. First, a minute of silence was observed to honour the memory of literary scholar, professor Shirindil Alyshanli, head of the Institute of Literature's XX century (Soviet period) Azerbaijani literature department and doctor of philological sciences.
At the event, doctor of philology, professor Asif Rustamli and doctor of philology, associate professor Zakira Aliyeva were awarded with Honorary Decrees of the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature on the occasion of their 70th anniversary.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli, ANAS President and Director of the Institute, started the meeting by reminding attendees that a solemn ceremony commemorating "Science Day and Science of the Day: humanitarian studies and artificial intelligence" was conducted at the Academy on March 27. He complimented the personnel on this special day and wished them luck in their scientific endeavours. He discussed the work done to extend the Academy's encyclopedic and multi-volume publications, and stated that the Presidium will make a decision on publishing promotion in the near future.
The meeting decided to construct the "Literature of the Turkic Peoples" in three volumes, formed the editorial board, and assigned suitable responsibilities.
Finally, PhD in philology and associate professor Aygün Bagırli provided information on several staff issues.
