The Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences held its next meeting.
ANAS President, Academician Isa Habibbayli, Presidium members, Presidium department heads and other officials attended the ceremony.
Academician Isa Habibbayli gave an introduction statement and explained the agenda for the conference.
At the event Academician Isa Habibbeyli, President of ANAS thanked ANAS's female employees on International Women's Day, March 8. He stated that Azerbaijani women, who are known for their bright intelligence, broad viewpoint, knowledge, and wisdom, are the driving force in our society today and actively engage in the republic's social and political life.
Academician Isa Habibbeyli, who has stated that women are always highly regarded in our nation, stressed today that First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva made unique contributions to the development of Azerbaijan via her extensive managerial expertise and broad viewpoint.
Academician Isa Habibbayli remarked that women play an important part in the operations of the National Academy of Sciences, and that the employees improve the science of Azerbaijan and the globe via their scientific research. He stated that the female workers of ANAS formed the Women's Council, which carried out considerable organizational work and participated intimately and at a high level in the processes taking place in the Academy and our country.
The head of ANAS congratulated the female employees of the Academy on the occasion of March 8 - International Women's Day and wished them good health, family happiness and happiness.
Later, a number of female scientists who distinguished themselves in the scientific and social life of ANAS were awarded. Academician Isa Habibbayli, president of ANAS, presented the awards.
The next issue discussed at the meeting was the presentation of the ANAS edition of Khalid Said Khojayev's translation of Mahmud Kashgari's "Divanü lüğat-it-turk".
Speaking on the issue, Academician Isa Habibbayli said that the new edition was created by the Linguistics Institute named after Nasimi of ANAS by the decision of the Presidium of ANAS, and the director of the institute, Professor Nadir Mammadli, had special services in printing the book.
Əsərin sovet repressiyasının qurbanına çevrilmiş Xalid Səid Xocayev tərəfindən ilk dəfə olaraq türk dilləri arasında mükəmməl şəkildə Azərbaycan dilinə tərcümə olunduğunu qeyd edən AMEA rəhbəri tərcümənin yüksək səviyyədə həyata keçirildiyini, lakin tərcümənin bu variantının uzun illlər tapılmadığını diqqətə çatdırıb. Qeyd edib ki, Xalid Səidin tərcüməsi nəhayət Dilçilik İnstitutunun arxivindən tapılaraq çapa hazırlanıb və hazırda ictimaiyyətə təqdim olunur.
Later, academician Isa Habibbayli brought to attention the information about the state of preparation for March 27 - Science Day.
Finally, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of ANAS's Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi, some employees of the institution were honoured.
