In connection with the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on declaring 2022 the "Year of Shusha" in the Republic of Azerbaijan, all state institutions, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions and individual institutions are celebrating this great date with dignity.
As part of the "Year of Shusha", an event was held at school No. 298 named after the martyr Ilgar Mammadov in Baku as part of the "Year of Shusha" with the symbol of "Dear Shusha, you are free!"

The guests were greeted by the school anthem "This is the abode of beauty" performed by members of the Music Club led by Sevinj Imanova. Then the guests viewed an exhibition of handicrafts made by Shusha-270 and young physicists within the IV Republican Competition "Engineer of the Future". The participants of the event got acquainted with the open-air stage reflecting Karabakh cuisine.
The event continued in the assembly hall of the school. At the literary-artistic evening beginning with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the souls of the martyrs were commemorated with a minute of silence. Pupils performed scenes reflecting the literary environment of Shusha, as well as scenes based on excerpts from the dramas of the great playwright Mirza Fatali Akhundov "The story of Miyo Jordan doctor-herbalist and dervish Mastali Shah", Samad Vurgun "Vagif", famous faces of Shusha. was discussed".
Patriotic songs sung by singer, honored artist, teacher of the National Conservatory Salim Abbasov and Mahir Askerov also added a special color to the event.
After the presentation of the literary-artistic evening "Shusha, you are free!", The director of the school Khatira Hajiyeva spoke and gave the floor to the guests.
Employees of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi Aygun Bagirova, Mehman Hasanli presented the school with "Azerbaijani literature of the independence period", "Molla Nasreddin's encyclopedia", Nizami Ganjavi's "Khamsa" and 60 other books.
At the same time, 10th grade student of the school Ibrahimova Ramila's painting "Free Shusha" was presented to the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS.
After the event, gifts were given to the children of martyrs and young guests from the "Place of Hope" orphanage. In the end, memorable photos were taken.
