President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, met with the President of the Turkish Academy of Sciences, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Shekar within the framework of his visit to the Republic of Turkey.
President of the Turkish Academy of Sciences, Professor Muzaffar Shekar noted the great importance of mutual cooperation with the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. The head of Turkish Academy of Sciences said that the relations between the scientific institutions of the two brotherly countries have entered a new stage. Giving information on Turkish Academy of Sciences's activities, the Professor pointed out that both scientific institutions have great opportunities in the field of expanding and developing cooperation, especially in humanities and social sciences. The head of the academy expressed his belief in the great future of strategic scientific cooperation relations based on today's reality.
Then, Academician Isa Habibbeyli pointed out that the comprehensive cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey in all fields has expanded and said that the friendship and cooperation relations significantly developed by the leaders of both countries open a wide path to new development in the field of science. The head of the academy spoke about the priority directions of mutual scientific relations at the modern stage. Academician Isa Habibbeyli informed about the steps taken by ANAS, which is currently in the process of renewal, in the field of establishing relations with international scientific institutions.
In connection with the 100th anniversary of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, it was brought to the attention that prominent scientists of brother Turkey will also participate in the international conferences organized by ANAS.
Then a cooperation agreement was signed between Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and Turkish Academy of Sciences. The agreement was signed by the president of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbayli and the president of the Turkish Academy of Sciences, professor Dr. Muzaffar Sekar.
It should be noted that the agreement includes mutual publication of scientific works, joint conferences and symposia, exchange of journals published in both institutions, and other issues.
