It was held republic scientific conference " In search of our moral resources" dedicated to 80-th years anniversary of correspondent member of ANAS, prominent literary critic Aliyar Safarli in Electron hall of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi on 5 January.
First participants got acquainted with the publications represent activity of prominent scientist.
Vice president of ANAS, director of the institute, academic Isa Habibbayli who took the floor in the conference said that A. Safarli was one of the popular investigators of Middle Ages Azerbaijani literature. He noted that the scientist revealed and published the poem “Dastani Ahmad Harami” which is the first poem in naitive language, Gazi Burhanaddin’s “Divan”, Mahmmad Fuzuli’s “Hagigat us-suada”, Masihi’s “Varga and Gulsha” poem, “Shahriyar” epos.
Vice-president of ANAS who said that literary critic, scientist had special place in scientific-pedagogical environment, also emphasized that the textbook “History of Azerbaijani literature (Old and Middle Ages)” was written in the level of monography and was being widely used in high schools.
Academic Isa Habibbayli notified that A. Safarli worked as diplomat and was ambassador of Azerbaijan in Iran in 1994-1998. He informed that the scientist had significant role in creating scientific, artistic -economic relations between Azerbaijan and Iran.
Then, Vasim Mammadaliyev a dean of theology faculty of Baku State University took floor said that A. Safarli enriched the historical facts revealed by him with his own explanations.
